ORLANDO, FL - The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) announced the addition of its "e-commerce" Web site feature, setting new standards in the food-safety industry and increasing services for professionals. NRFSP, headquartered in Orlando, Fla., said this latest functionality allows users to purchase materials with enhanced speed and convenience.
"The addition of e-commerce addresses a need within the food-safety community to find products and services in a timely and convenient manner," said Lawrence Lynch, NRFSP President and CEO. "NRFSP and parent company Environmental Health Testing are proud to be considered trusted sources and will continue to be at the forefront of offering like services to the profession."
Serving a broad range of industries, such as government agencies, educational institutions and hospitality, NRFSP develops and maintains food-safety certification examination programs, setting principles for best practices. According to NRFSP Senior Marketing Consultant Tina Saldana, these professionals will benefit from the e-commerce feature, which provides even more up-to-date information and easy transactions without the "cumbersome paperwork."
"The online store is part of a greater vision," said Saldana. "Ultimately, we would like to create an online community of professionals using Web tools that will facilitate interaction with our customers."
To implement e-commerce, NRFSP called upon the Web design team of 3W Studios, headquartered in Tallahassee, Fla. Having worked with 3W for the launch of NRFSP.com in April 2008, Saldana explained the Web team was instrumental in bringing the feature to fruition, offering creative solutions for sleek design and excellent response time.
In addition to the recent e-commerce tool, NRFSP intends to add online "bill-pay," which will allow exam administrators to pay invoices through a faster and more secure process. For more information on the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, call (800) 446-0257 or visit NRFSP.com.
