The First Principles program is available in all 50 states and accredited by the American National Standards Institute for use in those states that require it. The First Principles for Food Handlers program through is based on substantial review and analysis of the current regulations and requirements as reflected in the FDA Food Code and is available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Future food handlers can review the innovative, interactive materials as many times as needed in order to pass the assessment and can print a certificate of completion immediately upon passing. Successful completion of this thorough course and 40-question assessment assures food managers, regulators, and trainers that the certificate holder has completed a basic course in food safety that covers the following areas:
